Celebrate madhur day With Special Festivities

The third Friday of the month of Ramzan, called by the Hindus as "Magh Mela" or "urgical fast", is celebrated across India as Madhur Day. On this day, which falls on the fasting day of Ramzan, a girl must take her brother's name in front of a deity and fast for twenty-four hours. In villages, this fast is called "Pizhichal" or "cutting of hair". On this day, most women fast to remember their brother who passed away. It is believed that if a daughter takes her brother's name in order to fast that she may become a Sage and fulfill her father's desire by death.

On this day, there is a festival of offerings at both ends of the month of Ramzan, Panchgani and Vrindavan. There are special places in Mumbai and Pune, dedicated to Madurparama, or "Maharajas" or" Noblemen". Most of the Pune hotels have a book-off feature, and also special offers for booking open to a large number of rooms. For instance, the Taj Mahal Palace has opened up its booking center from 9am to 5pm every day, Sunday to Friday, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are separate booking desks located inside the walls of the palace, where you can make your application for discounts on rooms and book meals.

Apart from special offers, the hotels in Mumbai also conduct free coaching classes for students from the Mumbai slums, Juhu and madhur day , who wish to earn a diploma and advance their education. If you wish to know more about this, then the hotel management would be happy to enroll you in their slum school. Mumbai night schools are the latest inventions in the field of education. These schools arrange distance learning with the help of computers, internet and cell phones. Several Mumbai hotels also conduct cultural programs, during which talented artists from the slums of Mumbai are encouraged to perform and display their art talent.

Apart from these free educational programmes, there are numerous other cultural events taking place during Madurparama Day in Mumbai. The most popular musical event is the "Raj Mahal Open Air Program" on the Day when the world famous Queen Rania of Rajasthan along with her family is present at the specially built gates of the palace to watch a football match. This program is open to a wider audience than the usual one-to-one ratio. The royal couple also enjoy a walk on the Silvertown flyover, a two-minute show by renowned dancer Leela Samson, and a fun-filled evening as the Royal Rajah of Rajasthan along with her husband Ajit Mahal open a recordable slow dance show at the Akshardham Temple. In fact, the most fascinating thing about Madurparama is the fact that it does not charge admission tickets; hence the guests do not need to venture out of the gates of the palace or enter inside to get tickets.

Another important festival taking place during Madurparama is the Madurparama Matka, which is celebrated with much fanfare and fervor on the occasion of Karthik Purnima or Karthik Payal (the day of the rich). The Madurparama Matka is a three-hour long bash attended by local celebrities and prominent personalities of Mumbai. Some notable guests at the Matka include prominent politicians, film stars, supermodels and film directors. Booking for the Matka is done in advance, which ensures that your special day is made extra special and memorable with the kind of customized services offered by the various booking offices of Mumbai.

On the other hand, the most awaited celebration of Madurparama is the satta matka result. On this day, the entire community and people of Mumbai pull out all the stops and celebrate the rich history, culture and tradition of this holy place. People decorate their boats with colorful cloths, carry ornamental items and make a lot of noise so that everyone can enjoy the atmosphere. Matka results also have a key role to play in ensuring that the satta matka results are announced just before the actual date of the festival. In the meanwhile, you can also arrange for a tailor made boat for yourself or hire a DJ to keep the party alive.
